Effective Date: March 2026 · Pollfinity Research LLC · California
Pollfinity Research LLC ("Pollfinity Research," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of survey participants and website visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle information in connection with our research surveys, SMS outreach, and website at pollfinity.com.
When you participate in a Pollfinity Research survey, we collect your responses to survey questions. Survey questions may include opinions on candidates, policy issues, political preferences, and demographic information (such as age range, gender, region, education level, and voting history). We do not require your name, home address, or government-issued identification to participate in a survey.
If you voluntarily choose to join our research panel for future surveys, we may collect your name and email address solely for the purpose of sending future survey invitations. This information is collected only with your explicit consent and is never shared with third parties.
Our surveys are distributed via SMS text message to registered voters whose contact information is obtained from commercially available, publicly sourced voter data files (such as the L2 voter file). This data is used solely to send survey invitations and is not used for commercial marketing, fundraising, or political solicitation.
We do not collect or store your phone number from inbound survey responses unless you voluntarily provide it for panel enrollment.
Our website may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited. This data is used for security and operational purposes only and is not linked to individual survey responses.
Pollfinity Research conducts survey outreach via SMS text message in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable state laws. Our SMS outreach is limited to survey invitations for non-commercial research purposes.
To stop receiving SMS survey invitations from Pollfinity Research, reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will receive one confirmation message and will not receive further survey invitations to that number.
You may also submit an opt-out request by email to polls@pollfinity.com with "SMS OPT-OUT" in the subject line and your phone number in the message body.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by survey cycle. For help, reply HELP to any survey message or email polls@pollfinity.com.
We use survey response data exclusively for the following purposes:
We do not use survey data for commercial marketing, political advertising, candidate fundraising, voter mobilization, or any purpose other than non-partisan public opinion research.
Pollfinity Research does not sell, rent, trade, or license individual-level survey response data to any third party. We do not share identifiable participant data with campaigns, political parties, PACs, advocacy organizations, or commercial data brokers.
Aggregate, anonymized statistical findings (such as "42% of respondents said X") are published publicly as part of our research mission. These aggregate findings contain no information that could identify any individual respondent.
We may share data with service providers who assist in conducting our surveys (such as our survey platform provider), subject to contractual confidentiality obligations. We do not permit service providers to use participant data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
Survey response data is retained for a period of up to three (3) years following the completion of the relevant survey, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for research archival purposes.
Phone numbers obtained from voter data files for SMS outreach are not retained after the survey field period closes, unless the individual has opted into our research panel.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect survey data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Survey responses are collected via Typeform, which maintains its own security certifications and privacy practices. We encourage you to review Typeform's privacy policy at typeform.com/help/a/typeform-gdpr.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with certain rights regarding personal information. These rights include:
To exercise these rights, submit a request to polls@pollfinity.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
Our surveys are intended for registered voters, who must be at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued participation in our surveys following any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
