Embargo Policy

Pollfinity Research may release survey results under embargo to select media outlets prior to public release. Embargoed materials are provided solely to allow preparation of coverage for publication at the specified lift time.

  • Embargo lift times are stated explicitly in all embargoed materials.
  • Recipients agree not to publish, broadcast, or share embargoed data before the stated lift time.
  • Violations may result in exclusion from future pre-release access.
  • To request embargoed access, contact us at least 48 hours before the anticipated release date.

Citation Guidelines

When reporting on or citing Pollfinity Research survey results, please use the following attribution conventions:

Name usage:
First reference: "Pollfinity Research LLC"
Subsequent references: "Pollfinity Research"
Do not use: "Pollfinity," "Pollfinity LLC," or "Pollfinity.com" as standalone citations.

Standard Citation Format

"A Pollfinity Research LLC survey of [N] [population] conducted [date range] found that [finding]. The margin of error is ±[X] percentage points at the 95% confidence level."

Example:

"A Pollfinity Research LLC survey of 1,500 registered likely voters in New York State conducted in April 2026 found that XX% would vote for Kathy Hochul in a three-way race. The margin of error is ±2.5 percentage points at the 95% confidence level."

Methodology on Request

Full methodology documentation — including questionnaire text, field dates, sample composition, and weighting procedures — is published alongside every survey release on this website. Crosstab data files may be made available to credentialed journalists and academic researchers upon request.
